Alain Prost's 1987 McLaren MP4/3 TAG helmet.
Its documentation and winning history with the great Alain Prost
makes this the best helmet in the world. Drivers now go through a
minimum one helmet per week and earlier helmets are simply incapable
of being properly researched for provenance. Regardless,
helmets with so much battle history and three certified wins are
impossible to find. He used this helmet to achieve all 46
points he got in the 1987 season.
This helmet is documented by McLaren as used at all of these 1987 races:
Brazil (win), Belgium (win), Monaco, Detroit (3rd), France (3rd), Britain, Germany, Hungary
(3rd), Austria, Portugal (win) and Spain (2nd).
Portugal is where Prost won his 28th GP, which established the record for most GP wins in a career. He won a total of 51 in his career, when he raced in the most competitive era of the sport.
This was the prize in an Autosport magazine British GP contest, which took place in July of 1987. The recipient did not get it until November because, as the letter included says: "This particular helmet was Alain's favourite"!

Alain Prost - 1983 Renault elf racing suit.
NEW
In the early 1980's race suits were overused. There were so few
suits made and the patches were sometimes interchangeable. Suits
retired, but not the patches. This suit has most of its patches
intact. This has an "RMO" arm patch where the big one should be, meaning the
big patch ended up on a later suit when this one was retired. The arm patch
(see Belgium podium photo) is not in the same location on this suit, but all the
others are.
This suit has all the correct original patches and logos. The Autosonik patch in the photos has a white
border, no big deal because that was simple B&W embroidery for a minor
sponsor. It especially has the
"Renault elf", Marlboro and the big "RMO" on the back, precisely matching the
photo showing his back.
This is an excellent opportunity to get a rare F1 item from one of the
all-time greats. No racing collection is complete without an item from
Alain Prost.

championship, prevented only by Rubens Barrichello's two extra
points for his win.

This Jenson Button suit was used at various times in 2003 and for the BAR promo photo shoot in 2004.
It is the only Jenson suit available and is beautiful. Note the attached 2004
promo photo ... the belt has his 2003 car number 17 on it, and the Michelin
badge is badly covering up the original Bridgestone tire patch,
still on this suit.
This is the exact suit that Jense is wearing in the photo at left.
He signed and dated it "2004".

Keijo "Keke" Rosberg - 1982 F1 World Champion.
Used helmet from the 1981 season. This helmet was also signed by Keke at Imola, 2000.
Funny true story: I was with Keke to get this signed at the McLaren VIP area (he is Mika Hakkinen's manager) and he was puffing when I pulled it out of the bag. He looked at it, puffed his ubiquitous cigarette, swore a bit, and called out "Mika!" Quietly, Mika Hakkinen, defending World Champion, walked out of the trailer and looked quizzically at his friend. "Mika, how many fu*king helmets do you get in a season?" Mika simply shrugged and smiled, as this was a comedically typical Keke rant. "You guys... I wore this helmet the whole f*cking season [puff from cigarette] and you babies wear a different one every day! Shit."
Mika looked at me, smirked, shrugged his shoulders and walked back in to see Erja. I looked at another McLaren guy and laughed.

Juan Pablo Montoya 2000 Indianapolis 500 suit.
Montoya won the Millennial Indy 500 with breathtaking moves and
probably will never compete in the Indy 500 again. Juan is keeping the stuff he used to win the race. This is the only legitimate opportunity to get items he used at Indy in his winning run.
The IRL patch on the right shoulder distinguishes this suit, as does the Ganassi certificate. According to the
Montoya himself he used only two suits that whole month. This was the suit used in qualifying and most of the month preceding the big race.
Montoya is now looking to make the historic triple that Jacques Villeneuve achieved: CART, F1 and Indy 500 Champion.
These items were also signed by Juan.

Valentino Rossi MotoGP original helmet.
ROSSIFUMI! Here is an original used helmet of the finest rider of this generation: Five-time World Champion, Numero 46, "The Doctor"... Valentino Rossi.
Only Michael Schumacher, Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong are as dominant in their respective sports. Acquired directly from AGV Italia, this is distinguishable from replicas in numerous ways (which serious collectors will know and can be discussed on request).
This 'tricolore' helmet was prepared for his 125cc race at Imola, which he won. There were two made specifically for that race, including this one. It is pretty much impossible to acquire an original helmet from Valentino.
He is probably the finest motorcycle rider of all time.
In 2003, he won yet another championship. In 2002 he won 11 out of 16 MotoGP races! His overall win rate all time is about 50% and rising. That is simply unbelievable.
If he was an F1 driver, like Ferrari's Schumacher, this helmet would
be worth over US$40,000. Moto GP is on the rise because it is not as expensive to see or participate in, and it is more daring than F1. Period.

Dale Earnhardt 1988 original Nomex race suit by Simpson.
You won't find any other top NASCAR driver's items mixed with F1 drivers on Autosport.Net, but Dale Earnhardt was very special.
The NASCAR legend was, with Mark Martin, the man I rooted for.
Three wins, 13 Top 5's, 19 Top 10's in this 1988 season, his first 'all-black' GM Goodwrench sponsored season.
He really wasn't "the Man in Black" until this suit was worn in the black number 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.
